Grammer Industries, Inc. announced today that it will relocate its North American headquarters to a new 155,000 square foot facility in The Matrix: A Business & Technology Park, Greenville�s premier site for industrial and high-tech facilities located at the corner of Hwy 25 and the I-185 Southern Connector. Currently housed in the Forrester Business Park in Mauldin, Grammer Industries will take occupancy of a speculative building in the Matrix Park in November of 2002. Expansion and upfit of the currently 82,000 square foot building is set to begin this month. Upon completion this fall, the building will include 155,000 square feet of office, warehouse and manufacturing/production space. As its headquarters for North America, Grammer will invest approximately $10,000,000 in new capital and create 60 new jobs. The expansion involves the addition of passenger seat production to its existing auto-related product lines. Grammer has currently 90 associates in Greenville. Established in 1954 as a manufacturer of seat cushions for tractors, the German manufacturer is today a leading manufacturer of automotive seats and headrests. A supplier for BMW�s X5 (see second photo), Grammer also manufactures for other customers that include Audi, Volkswagen, Daimler Chrysler and Opel.
