Goglanian Bakeries, Inc., a manufacturer of bread products headquartered in California, has invested more than $3 million in new capital improvements to its location in Fountain Inn. The investment funded the upgrade of its Laurens County facility and includes new purchases of a spiral freezer, production doughball line, and flour silos. The investment will create 50 jobs. �This expansion is exciting news for the city of Fountain Inn,� said Fountain Inn Mayor Gary Long. �Goglanian�s capital investment is a testimony to the fact that Fountain Inn is a great place to do business.� This facility is expected to increase its annual sales by 25 percent over its prior fiscal year ending 2003. The company has just been approved by one of its major customers to produce a majority of its flatbread products and is excited about additional opportunities available both domestically and internationally from the food service and distribution sector. "Priority number one for this administration is always going to be creating jobs," said Governor Mark Sanford. "Our team is going to continue to push for job-creating reforms like income tax relief that will help companies like Goglanian Bakeries thrive in a growing and vibrant economic development climate." With more than 600 team members and the use of unique baking technologies and equipment, Goglanian is leading the pace as the world�s fastest high volume producers of flatbread with a 25-plus year history. Goglanian Bakeries Inc., a California �S� Corporation engaged in the manufacturing of flat breads, par-baked pizza crusts, frozen dough-balls and bagels, is located in Southern California and South Carolina. The company distributes throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and Puerto Rico.
