Low-cost airline Allegiant Air, LLC today announces new, nonstop jet service to the fun and sun of Orlando, Fla. from Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C. beginning Nov. 14. The low-fare carrier will celebrate the convenient new service to the Sunshine State, with introductory fares as low as $49* each way, when booked at www.allegiantair.com. The self-proclaimed �Official Airline for Sunshine� will launch the new scheduled service from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport to Orlando Sanford International Airport with complete vacation packages including roundtrip air and two-night hotel stay for as low as $168**. (Price is per person, based on two-night hotel stay at the Rodeway Inn-Maingate, double occupancy and reflects a Tuesday departure and Thursday return.) �We are extremely pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Greenville-Spartanburg community,� Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said. �This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers.� The airline said that its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the Upstate community will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Orlando-Sanford as a convenient alternative. Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route. �The airport commission is excited about the arrival of Allegiant Air and we know the people of the people of the Upstate will be excited as well,� Gary Jackson, Executive Director for Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, said. �We look forward to a long and prosperous working relationship.� The new flights will operate four times weekly, with service Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Flights will depart Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport at 2:35 p.m. arriving in Orlando Sanford International Airport at 4:00 p.m. Flights leaving Orlando will depart at 12:35 p.m. arriving Greenville-Spartanburg at 2:00 p.m. (all flight times are local.) The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with 21 of Orlando�s most exciting hotel properties and three in Daytona Beach. Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway. Low-cost packages are available to include hotel, car and amusement park tickets for additional savings. Reservations may be made through the company�s website at www.allegiantair.com, the airline�s Reservations Center at 702-505-8888 or professional travel agents. Allegiant�s $49* one-way introductory fare is limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by Sept. 16, 2006, for travel through Jan. 31, 2007.
