Future Scholar Boo in the Zoo takes place October 26-28 and will feature more than twenty trick-or-treat stations, character photo opportunities, an extinct species graveyard, and a Not Very Scary House.
The event will also feature Dragon Alley and the all new Alice’s Fun House!
Event hours are 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free for Member Adults, if not trick-or-treating (age 15+); $8 for Member Trick-or-Treaters; $6 for Non-member Adults; and $9 for Non-member Trick-or-Treaters. Admission for Boo Babies (age 0-2) is free. If you want your baby (age 0-2) to receive a trick-or-treat bag and treats, you will need to purchase a trick-or-treater ticket. Corporate group rates are also available.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at the Greenville Zoo ticket booth or online at Boo in the Zoo Eventbrite page. Tickets purchased on Eventbrite can be used any of the six nights of Future Scholar Boo in the Zoo. Children must be accompanied by an adult and everyone is invited to come in costume. For safety reasons, attendees are asked not to bring plastic pumpkins, Halloween bags or sacks. Instead, the zoo will provide special commemorative trick-or-treat bags for the children.
The Greenville Zoo will again offer a free park-and-ride service to transport attendees from County Square to the Greenville Zoo and back, with buses running continuously between the two locations from one hour before the event until 9:00 pm. Attendees are strongly encouraged to utilize the free service, as parking will not be permitted on Woodland Way or Woodland Way Circle and parking in Cleveland Park is limited.
“There are plenty of things to get you spooked around Halloween time, but saving for college does not have to be one of them!” said South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis. “As this year’s title sponsor for Boo in the Zoo, Future Scholar, which is South Carolina’s only tax-advantaged 529 college savings plan, is happy to give South Carolina families a treat, as well as tricks for saving. With over $3 billion in total assets and more than 140,000 accounts, Future Scholar has proven to be the smart way to save for college in our state. We are thrilled to partner with the Greenville Zoo and bring value to those who attend. Our booth will be the first trick-or-treat stop — we encourage families to stop by to see how non-scary college savings can be.”
Future Scholar is the 2018 title sponsor of Boo in the Zoo, the Greenville Zoo’s signature Halloween event.
