The Grass Is Dead, a bluegrass band which pays homage to The Grateful Dead, returns to Greenville’s Gottrocks on December 30th. Don’t miss out on this special experience!
The Grass Is Dead is a bluegrass combo paying homage to the music and cultural legacy of The Grateful Dead, arguably America’s first folk rock band and one of the most influential musical artists of the last fifty years. The catalogue of the Dead’s music is a gold mine for string bands and story tellers, and The Grass Is Dead have established themselves far and wide as premiere purveyors of this rich tradition of Americana music. Pickin’ and grinnin’ is what they do best, and they have been adapting Grateful Dead songs in their own bluegrass style since 1998.
It’s going be a great night for sure and the band can’t wait to come back to rage it with their Greenville friends.
Tickets are $7 per person and the doors open at 8:00 pm. The show is limited to adults age 21 and up. Gottrocks is located at 200 Eisenhower Dr, Greenville, SC 29607.
