$1 from every pint sold will benefit Project D.A.N.C.E.! Help us provide dance scholarships for underserved dance students in our area while also celebrating the return of ballet in the ‘Burg!
This famous Annual Trap Gala is a formal Black-Tie Event with a splash of culture and some of your favorite new and old hits. Beginning with a traditional jazz warm-up and center exercises, students will learn new vocabulary, hone their dance skills, and practice picking up fun musical theatre choreography! A COMMUNITY-BUILDING and FAMILY-FRIENDLY event, Salsa at Sunset is free and open to the public. The event attracts people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. The casual and CELEBRATORY ATMOSPHERE is welcoming and inclusive, and the downtown location provides incredible convenience and visibility.

The Salsa at Sunset event sponsored by Upstate International & Pura Alegria dance company will get you as close as you’re going to get to Calle Ocho in Miami without traveling for half a day.
This free event is held during the summer months once a month in July, August and September. An hour-long complimentary salsa dance lesson starts at 6 pm and the live music starts at 7 pm plays until 10 pm. New in 2021 is the move from the plaza in front of the Peace Center to The NEW Camperdown Plaza.
If there were a way to somehow import the smell of ocean air and fill the airspace in front of the Peace Center with it, you’d never know that you were in the foothills of South Carolina and not Miami. One of the only tell-tale signs is that, this event wouldn’t be free in Miami!
Grab your preferred dance partner and head downtown. I couldn’t believe how many people were there dancing! Every generation was represented on the dance floor, older couples, young couples, parents on a much-needed escape & families with their little ones in tow.
The bar at CAMP is open and the live music will keep you moving. This event is family and stroller-friendly. I strongly suggest bringing an ample supply of ice water for your entire dance troupe, because you’ll need it after several hours of salsa dancing.
Sing and dance your way through an entire musical in just a week! This high-energy, low-pressure virtual class explores the plot and characters of a Broadway musical as young actors learn songs and dances from the show. With fun activities and games emphasizing creative play, movement, voice, and improvisation, this process-based camp will build theatre skills and allow a fun outlet for your bite-sized Broadway star. No experience is necessary.
