The Greenville Gay Men’s Chorus is celebrating the holidays with two performances of “A Gay Happy Meeting” on Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11, 7:00 p.m. at downtown’s Greenville Theatre.
Tickets cost $20-$30 and are available now at https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/c3887c26-1faa-469d-9398-0022468abf31.
According to Artistic Director Shelton Ridge Love, “We’ve included every holiday song we could think of that has the word ‘gay’ in it. The evening will be a raucous and fun time, just as the name suggests.”
The family-friendly concert will appeal to a wide variety of tastes, with arrangements of holiday classics such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” unexpected favorites like ABBA’s “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme a Man After Midnight,” and original works as well. The 35-member TTBB chorus will again be joined in this performance by a band and dancers—and will also feature a brass quintet to herald in the festive season.
Greenville Theatre is located at 444 College Street downtown in the Heritage Green cultural complex.
