Cash Grant Applicants Sought for Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award for Volunteerism


Soroptimist International of Greenville, SC is seeking female applicants between the ages of 14 and 17 who make the community and world a better place through their focused volunteerism. Volunteer actions that benefit women or girls are of particular interest. The Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award, which is a cash award of $300.00, will be awarded to a local winner who will then be eligible for Region awards of up to $2500 and a Federation level award for themselves and the organization for which they volunteer. Beginning 2009, a cash grant will be awarded by Soroptimist International of Greenville to the local-club finalist's charitable organization.
