Get ready for a day of family fun at Roper Mountain Science Center! On November 12, the Living History Farm will be filled with artisans, musicians, and demonstrations of life from the 1800's. The Fall Harvest Festival begins at 9AM and lasts until 2:30PM. Activities will include draft horse plowing, cow milking, corn shucking, shelling, and grilling, and gourd crafts. Revolutionary War re-enactors will be on hand to make visitors feel that they really have returned in time. Kids can see farm animals, hear Appalachian music, and see Master Gardeners, artists, and artisans at work. Come to watch woodworking, basketry, broom- and candle-making, blacksmithing, and much, much more!
